Personal Webspace

A major component of the LPFA site structure is the ability of users to post images and other media, documents, web blogs as well as comments to trails, and other database entries. LPFA provides server space for your personal "webspace" on the condition it help support the LPFA mission and goals. We encourage you to add your galleries of images, journal entries, stories, reflections, poems and other information about our forest. However, it is important you do so in a way which enriches our databases and is not offensive to others will be reading your entries or viewing your images. We reserve the right to remove any entries which either do not follow our guidelines or provide inaccurate or inappropriate information.

Diversity of Opinion

We also encourage a diversity of opinions and lively and free flowing discussion as long as they contain appropriate language (I.E. no cuss words) and do not focus on attacking or disparaging any particular forest user groups, individuals or agencies. Please keep these guidelines in mind as you compose your entries:
  • Please no foul language, even if something has occurred on the trail which upsets you. Focus on helping others understand what the problem is and how you would like us to help deal with it.
  • Attacks on groups, organizations, agencies or individuals are no acceptable. It is OK to share a grievance; it isn't to focus on attacking those who you perceive to be the problem. Let's help foster dialogue not division.
  • If you add an Incident Report or add information about trail conditions you would like to see fixed, try to be as specific as possible about what and where the problem ocurred or the location of the damage which needs to be fixed. We monitor all of the entries and will make every effort to solve the problem.
  • If you add historical notes or information about our local plants, animals or geology, try to be as factually accurate as possible. We encourage information which enriches our understanding of our local trails and environment but it is important it be accurate.
