Description
Join us on one of our monthly Volunteer projects that take us throughout the forest, from front country trails, to deep into the heart of the San Rafael and Dick Smith Wilderness areas and Front Country. Projects range from 1-5 days in length for the most part, with projects lasting as long as ten days as part of our "Working Vacations" program. Projects include brushing, tread work, removal of logs and other work to help us keep the wilderness areas in great condition. Includes car camp trips as well as backpacking into the work areas. Goat and mule support is used and dinners are provided.
Additional Participant Information
No training is needed though you should be in good physical condition and experienced in overnight and backpack type camping. See attached documents in the specific event in the calendar to get more information related to that event.
General Timeframe
Projects are ongoing and we will be sponsoring a project on the average of once a month for the back country areas.
